Project Overview

For two years, Territory Surveys provided ongoing surveying support to Fulton Hogan throughout the delivery of the P0009 National Airfield Works at RAAF Base Darwin, supporting the project from the early earthworks through to the final stages of construction.

During the earthworks phase, Territory Surveys prepared machine guidance files for bulk earthmoving and provided construction set-out for drainage pipes and culverts. The team also carried out drainage conformance surveys, checked subgrade levels against design requirements and completed end-of-month volume calculations to track earthworks quantities as construction progressed.

As the works moved into concrete and airfield construction, Territory Surveys provided high-precision set-out for lean mix and PCC pavement works across the aircraft apron, as well as set-out for runway lighting and pits. The team also supported asphalt resurfacing works across the runway and taxiway.

Working alongside Fulton Hogan, Aurecon and the wider project team, Territory Surveys provided survey support across multiple construction stages, connecting design information with on-site set-out, verification and quantity measurement.
